Richard B. Cheney, an accomplished businessman and public servant is vice president. Cheney was a familiar name in Washington's political scene. George W. Bush would be his 4th U.S. President. Bush named Cheney as his vice-presidential running mate in 2000, owing to his intelligence and judgment. Dick Cheney served as the chief of staff for the president. He also served as a Member of Congress as well as the secretary of defense. Cheney is a man with integrity whom is admired by Republicans and Democrats. Cheney claims he's an unassuming but trustworthy advisor for Bush during his presidency. Cheney expressed excitement about accepting the Republican vice-presidential nod. He stated that Cheney is eager to work alongside a president who will be a team player with individuals of differing political opinions and who share the same goals. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on the 30th of January 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. When Richard Bruce Cheney turned 13 He and his family relocated from Lincoln Nebraska to Casper Wyoming where his father was the head of his position as the head of U.S. Department of Agriculture's local soil conservation districts.
