April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born on July 4, 1995. As a seventh-grade student, she started taking piano and guitar lessons. It was this that ignited her love for songwriting. In April, when she was 12 years old She composed her debut single Different. At 14 old, she devoted the majority of her time making song concepts as well as perfecting the song. Then, she began going across NY and LA along with her dad so that they could both compose songs. April featured other topics in her hit song"Take my Hand. These topics were for friends that dealt with issues such as peer pressure issues or even teenage suicide thinking. Lockhart also has an ever-growing fan base as a lifestyle blogger and is employed by the renowned brand of clean and natural beauty Ilia. Lockhart was never born with a left hand, and that is what makes her who she is. It's just not the full story. Lockhart doesn't deny her disability in her posts on Instagram, however she does not make it the main focus of the post. The point? The message? That we each contain multitudes, that our identities and physical self aren't as they appear. Lockhart talks via video in Nashville. "I don't intend to let it define my existence. I don't want to be only known as a disability expert. However, it doesn't affect my day-to-day routine. I do the things I normally would and have adjusted to my disability. Since it's a my identity It's a topic worthy of talking about. Self-acceptance is a long marathon however Lockhart is a true inspiration for this aspect. She admits that she's been through phases of her body, at times, being unsure about wearing certain types of clothing showing off her arms. Now, though she dons anything she likes and uploads images of her outfits to social networks with a sense of pride. The journey itself is the key thing I don't know that will ever be the end about self-love. This is true for everyone, regardless of their insecurity. I believe that it's really vital to surround yourself people who can identify and feel your heart.
