Laura Linney has been hailed as one of America's top acclaimed actors. Linney is renowned as a strong actress who are equally at risk. Born to a famous playwright father, but was raised by a single mom who made a living by working as a nurse. She became interested in theatre while spending summers with her father, eventually studying acting, initially at Brown University and then at Juilliard School. Following her graduation she started the beginning of her Broadway career. The following year, she began her career she was on television. Since then she has been appearing in a variety of films, TV shows and stage performances. She has been awarded numerous prizes during her professional career. These include four Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, three Academy Award Nominations, and five Tony Award Nominations. However, despite all the awards, her passion for theatre remains constant, as she continues to perform both in the stage and on screen.
